I don't know about where you are at, but it is getting super toasty warm for us here in Idaho (finally!). And nothing says refreshing tastiness like a Popsicle on a warm day. Well since my little girl is still little, and I don't want to completely corrupt her yet in introducing her to crazy addictive sugars I came up with the idea of making her baby food in a Popsicle! I got one of her more fruity flavors (cuz I don't know, green bean or corn Popsicle just didn't sound right, although when I went to Mexico they sold bean Popsicles, so maybe it wouldn't be too far off!), and then I put it into this sucker tray I inherited from my mom, but I think ice cub trays or even official Popsicle maker trays would work great too. Then I poured the pures in, put some of her small baby spoons in and froze it!
She had her first one just the other day and she loved it! Not to mention it probably felt really good for her sore teething gums. But if you try this, I would highly recommend watching them eat it (cuz my girl broke off part of hers as it thawed some and it very much scared her, maybe could have chocked her if I hadn't caught it in time, although it probably would have thawed enough on its way down it might not have done any serious damage) and it will probably be really messy, but that's what makes it all the more fun right!? Here is the pictures of it all:
The lovely sucker mold from my momma
Pouring in the puree and slopping in the spoons
And wal-ah! They are done and ready to go! (I put them in a freezer zip lock bag and back in the freezer to store for later)
Enjoying her first one, she really liked it!
Already done- like the mischievous look on her face? :)
Did I mention they are a little messy?
Cuz they REALLY are- but still lots of fun!
Anyway, hope you have a lovely Monday. Thanks for stopping by and until next time!. . . . .
they look cute and fun!!! Good job!
